Our long-standing relationship with Cumulus Media and Westwood One continues, this time with a custom package for the newly revamped Westwood One Sports.
They commissioned TM Studios to create a custom audio branding package to launch their new 24/7 national sports network. The objective was to establish a fresh, contemporary, high-energy sound that strengthens the Westwood One Sports identity and matches the scale of a modern national platform.
At the center of the package is a bold four-note sonic logo - a dramatic, big-league sports signature designed to be powerful, distinctive, and instantly recognizable as Westwood One Sports. Supporting this signature are modern themes and beds created to attract new audiences, with a focus on youthful energy inspired by stadium hype, EDM, rock, and hip-hop influences.
Working closely with Bruce Gilbert, SVP Sports, Content & Audience at Cumulus Media and Westwood One, we developed a package built to support the network’s modern presentation and national reach.
Today, the sound is heard across hundreds of stations nationwide, on SiriusXM Channel 375, and through the Westwood One Sports app—delivering a unified identity across broadcast, satellite, and digital platforms. The imaging was handled by Justin Dove of Core Image Studios.
As Country Top 40 looks to the future of country music, TM Studios delivered a forward-sounding custom jingle package to brand the next phase of the iconic show, originally hosted by Bob Kingsley and now led by Fitz. The result: a bespoke package built on a familiar melodic foundation, elevated with world-class talent and production.
The goal was to reflect the evolution of both the audience and today’s country artists while preserving the traditions and instrumentation that define the format. To achieve this, we recruited fresh vocalists, authentic country musicians, and country recording artist and Netflix reality TV star Coffey Anderson, recorded live across Nashville, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
As major audio brands and content rich businesses rediscover the power of strong sonic branding, jingles are once again proving to be among the most effective tools for brand distinction. TM Studios continues to set the Gold and Platinum standard in jingle and sonic branding, something listeners confirm every time they sing back the Country Top 40 name.
A modern, clean brand built to reflect TextGroove’s expanding product range, recent success, and sustained growth. The direction was shaped by input from the entire TextGroove team and informed by the unique demands of operating across both the telecoms and broadcast media industries.
The result is a clean, modern brand suite that feels confident, timeless, and flexible enough to evolve with changing design trends. The color palette draws on the familiar blue of modern messaging apps, paired with a crisp white secondary tone to reinforce clarity and simplicity.
This was more than a logo refresh. It marked a shift in thinking. The rebrand introduced a broader cultural change designed to live through everything TextGroove does. From how it appears at conferences, through to it’s website and apps.
The brand itself was never broken. In fact, TextGroove was already outperforming industry norms. The opportunity was to bring the brand identity up to the level of the company’s momentum.
The rebrand aligned TextGroove’s visual identity and messaging with its already evolved product range, services, company culture, and talented team. This connected pride in the products with pride in the brand.
Agency-level thinking extended beyond visuals to positioning. This included the development of a bold primary slogan and a supporting secondary message. After shortlisting ten concepts, the team unanimously selected “Own the Conversation.” This line functions both as an instruction and a clear statement of outcome.
For marketing applications, a secondary, emotionally led message was introduced, “Make engagement easy.”
