In the 90s, everyone in the UK knew where they were at 4pm on a Sunday: listening to the Pepsi Network Chart Show.
Hosted by Dr Neil Fox, it was Hot Rockin’, Flame Throwin’, Lip Smackin’, Thirst Quenchin’ and full of energy, driven by Foxy’s unmistakable style and those epic jingles. They may have been created by a rival jingle company, but respect where it’s due. We all remember them.
So when Nation Radio planned a throwback show revisiting historic charts, with Foxy back as host and plenty of nods to the show we grew up with, we jumped at the chance to brand it and add a few tributes of our own.
With thanks to GrooveWorx, formerly Groove Addicts / Who Did That Music, we were able to use the iconic original Pepsi Network Chart Show melody. From there, TM Studios created new themes, a high-energy opener with mixouts, plus rundowns, drones, ramps and shotguns.
We also delivered a vocal sound few would expect from TM Studios, recorded in Los Angeles and London.
Pure nostalgia. Proper craft. A joy to create.
Working with the TM team is such an invigorating creative process. The team at TM was able to masterfully blend trap beats EDM, and the Swag of Sports Rock to help deliver the contemporary presentation of Westwood One Sports.
